Beautiful, Donna! They don't do well here, too dry. But I try anyway. Love the scent, brings back memories of my grandparents home in Virginia.

Elegant, and yet I'm suddenly craving whipped cream on gingerbread

You're so right, Randy. They need a lot of water. I found that out the hard way with one I had in a pot. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one. It's a cold hardy variety and would probably thrive in your area. Thank you so much for the visit and wonderful comment, Randy.

Very nice, Donna. I just trimmed my Gardenia away from my front porch. It has gotten so large it is intruding on my porch swing. Beautiful when in bloom, though.

Thank you so much, Ken. I'm glad you enjoyed these, and they really are beautiful when in bloom. Smell nice too! We're been having a problem for the past several years with gardenia thrips (or whatever they are) attacking the blooms as soon as they open.

how beautiful both shots are, donna. I downloaded and clicked to view on black, and both are equally
gorgeous . the gardenias look like they are light purple or violet. the only ones I have seen out here
are white, and the little ole white flies love them. lol.
