Both photos look like they would be fantastic as just regular photographs, although I like the painting like quality of the 2nd one very much. The 3rd one is nicely processed although possibly a little sharper would help separate her a little more from the background. Personal taste not crazy about the texture on the first photo.

While I can appreciate the artistic effort, the second one works for me, the first and third not so much for this genre of photography.

Nice. Would be interesting to see the originals, prior to the textures being applied.

Per previous discussions we are to concentrate on the photo not the model, but, ahh, the wonders of youth. Beautiful hair, face, skin, toned-body, expression, pose, etc. Would almost make me a great photographer with a model like this. (Know not that easy to make the magic but had to tease a little)

Stardust, I think you have just proven my point about comments on the model. Apart from "pose" and the catchall "etc", ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS ARE ABOUT THE MODEL!!!!!! You didn't address background, props, lighting, shadows, composition (re props/accessories), overall colour balance, framing, focus, depth of field, exposure, and more "etc." Every good photo has a visual focal point, and in a simple setting like this THE MODEL IS THE FOCAL POINT. If she didn't have positive scores for the attributes that you listed this photo would be a bust.

To LA Shooter, I like this shot better than the others. Well done... and nice model, of course!

I think it's fine to have positive things to say about the model as well as the technical photograph, but I would never publicly criticize the model, it's a one-way street to me. As the old saying goes...if you can't say something nice... I'd just move along rather than commenting, and on this particular website, I'd feel secure in the knowledge that many others WILL express the negatives without my input. And BTW, I like the most recent photo the best! Maybe Hilton would be interested in using it in an ad campaign :)

JF, first if you check I stayed out of that earlier discussion for two reasons (1) I never get between guys who are trying to prove who has a bigger "sword" and (b) I believed most of you all had valid points. I was actually being facetious in my comment about "only can comment on the photo not model" for remove the model from these nude photographs and what do you have? On the other hand, although I may have failed, I have always tried to comment about the quality of the PHOTOGRAPH, not my personal preferences about weight, height, tattoos, hair color, etc. so many do. As a photographer, whether shooting a model woman or a model plane, I believe you must work with what is presented and try to show it the best of your ability. To complain about something out of one's control is a waste of time and words. So, because I believe this model has all the qualities that would make it very easy for even an amateur to make good photos of her, that does not give us permission to put down a model that may not be so gifted. I personally do not like or understand Jazz music nor have I ever understood Picasso's works but that does not entitle me to be negative about them because I realize many others must get it and appreciate the music or the art. I compliment the pluses on models and the negatives - I recently expressed a model had dirty feet and uncombed hair but that was not directed towards the model personally but the photographer for allowing that in the photo. That is possibly the differences we are discussing.
