Change of Sequence (Returning to LR from PS)

I arranged my photos the way I wanted in my LR collection, then started taking one photo at a time over to PS to add a title bar. After saving my photo w/title and returning to LR, both the original (NEF) and the one with title from PS (TFF) are there as they should be, but the sequence of all the photos in the collection is shifting. The TFF's have a 2 on it since it is a copy, and it is next to the corresponding NEF, but the set moves back toward the front of the collection. Question, what do I have to do to get my collection sequenced the way I want it, the way it was before I began working with PS? Do I need to stack the original and copy? Do I need to wait till the titles are all done and then drag and drop to suit my needs? It seems like there should be a way to avoid screwing up the desired sequence just because you're going to PS to add a title. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the sort order of your view. Is the sort order possibly set to edit order or added order, particularly if a new TIFF sorts to the front?

You nailed it! Somehow the sort had drifted to "Custom", most likely since I had moved a few unlabeled shots to better positions. All I had to do is change the sort to File Name, Ascending, and the problem went away. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it, Bob

I have experienced this problem numerous times, and, after mentioning it on this forum, others have also indicated they have the same issue from time to time. The only solution I know is, as you indicate, changing the sort order.
