I'm a little overpowered by all the blue and its intensity in the second photo.
I'd be tempted to post work in some clouds or replace the whole sky with one that has some light clouds .... just something to replace the solid blue. Then the second picture might really "pop".

IMHO, the B&W focuses the viewer on the lines and form whereas the color focuses us on the energy and vibrancy of the place

I would go for the color but like charlienow says, it's overcooked. If you would back it off so it looks more real it would be a better image.

The black areas in the monochrome picture have no detail. The color looks better to me. I would do a little PP on the color to add red to certain points of interest
