I spotted this while driving by the Penobscot Marine Museum in Maine.

The download looks better.

Did you load it with film and make a photo? I understand Maine is very photogenic.

I believe you've found a camera obscura.

Not to mention the tripod to mount it on!

Yes, I think you have something there.....I had to look up the term so I understood what you were saying. It looks like there could be a pinhole, though I don’t remember if there actually was one.

Two questions. Where did they keep the plates? Did you feel disoriented by the flipped image?

My neck hurts just trying to imagine what kind of strap you would need to carry it around

OOPS, I should not have said that ... now there will be a debate about whether or not this camera can safely be suspended via a connector screwed into its tripod mount!

Found a newer version. And more portable.

Thanks for the link....it figures that someone, somewhere would be using their imagination...seems like several people like ultra large cameras.

It's either that or get bigger bi-focals.

You're right. The download looks more impressive. Does that mean you could have moved in closer with a wider angle lens to accentuate the size and fill the frame with the foreground more? Just a thought. Very cool nonetheless.
