Have been practicing with birds in flight and finally feel like I have an idea how to do it! Was successful over the weekend while fishing on the Clark Fork in Noxon MT....what do you all think? I did crop them in some.

I have begun to enjoy photographing these birds also. There is a whole different camera awareness with BIF. Finding the right shutter speed to freeze movement. The benefits of underexposing white birds. I looked at your camera settings, and your shutter speed is 3200 with an ISO of 2000. I can say that in my limited experience, a shutter speed of 2000 will freeze water drops, and would suggest that it would probably be safe to slow down your shutter speed and lower your ISO. I think you have some great shots here. Mark

Thanks for the suggestions - I will try that next time, this was the first time I was really able to get the bird in focus and keep the entire bird in the frame...lol!

#4 is my favorite....I am going to play and see if I can get rid of the tree limb in the upper right corner...that might make it better. I just purchased the Affinity program but have no clue how to use it...lol..this will be a good learning experience.
