Soul Dr. Loc: Beautiful Shenandoah Valley

Here are some captures from the Cold Springs Wetlands. This is part of the George Washington National Forest
in West Augusta County in Western Va. It's about 10 miles from my house.
All were taken with my Fuji X-T20 and 50-230mm lens.
Hope you enjoy. Do try the downloads for a better view.

Beautiful.

The first unknown plant is probably a Veronia species plant - an Ironweed, maybe Vernonia gigantea, native to eastern North America.

The next two look to be Queen Anne's lace Daucus carota- one blossom is open, and the second one is spent. It is a plant from the carrot family, native to Europe, that was introduced to North America long ago and has spread everywhere.

The last image appears to be Swamp Thistle Cirsium muticum. It is native to the eastern North America.

Thanks for the wetlands scenes! Well done.

Mike

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them.
I like 6 a lot too, I think the yellow part really sets it off.

Yes, the yellow is great. Autumn is coming. I hope I can get some great yellow and green pictures this year.

Thanks Mike I really appreciate you taking the time to identify these flowers. I thought the white one was Queen Anne's Lace, but wasn't sure. I also appreciate your comments.
