Last wedding that I shot, the minister asked that all cell phones be put away and to refrain from taking photos. He coached the couple during the rehearsal as to placement of themselves during the ceremony regarding the photographer and capturing the "moment.' We did not have to recreate anything regarding the ceremony. Absolutely the best minister that I have ever worked with in that regard.
The ONLY cell phone that went off during the ceremony was that belonging to the bride; from Walgreen's regarding her "pregnancy prevention."
Really? She had four adult children as part of her wedding!
Only in Michigan!

I love that. No matter what else happens, that part of the wedding will go down in history.
I had an event where one of the servers almost severed her thumb, and had to be rushed to the hospital, leaving a very expensive wedding cake covered in blood. Several years later, when I bump into someone from that wedding, they still joke about it. Nobody remembers what food was there, or what music was played, but they sure remember the "event"
