On my MAC laptop desktop I had a file of pictures and I just noticed that they are no longer there. I cannot find them.

I had a file on my laptop MAC. I was about ready to put them into Bridge in a few days. Now the file is no where to be found. I need these pictures. Any Idea how I can recover this file.

Download and run Recuva and it should be able to recover your photo's that have been lost or deleted.

Is it in the trash can? If you inadvertently deleted it, and have not emptied the trash, look there.

Davet, is there another icon where your file icon used to be?

You don't "put" anything into Bridge - Bridge is a file browser. It's used to find things, add keywords/ratings/flags etc and launch Photoshop, etc.
You have misplaced a folder (not a file) with files in it. There is a good chance you haven't lost anything. It may have been accidentally added to another folder or you may have deleted it. If you have not cleared your Trash folder, more than likely it is in there. I would use finder to show where everything is - you can search for the folder name, or the file names of the images that were in the folder.
I'd suggest you take a basic class in file and folder management, or find a YouTube video to show you how to use Finder and how the Trash folder works.

Have you considered contacting Apple support? The will give you better answers than the guesses and speculations you will get here.

If you know the name of the folder or even the name of one of the files, point Finder at the "top" of the hierarchy for that volume (AKA drive). It should look like, perhaps, "Macintosh HD" or similar words. Once you have Finder thus positioned, use the search feature. You should see a search input box at the top of the window. If it finds it you will be able to ask it where it is.
If you worked with one of the files or with the folder recently then see if the "Recent" shortcut on the left panel helps.

No, thanks, but this did not work. I may have accidentally trashed my folder and then emptied my trash. I always empty my trash. I was hoping to maybe recover my trash some way.
