I need some suggestions for a glossy paper for my Epson R2880. I shoot landscapes, vivid colors, wide dynamic range and I occasionally convert some to black and white. I have been using Epson's Premium Glossy, but find I have to turn the brightness correction way up on LR to get something even close to what I'm looking for. I'm wondering if a different paper may help. Thanks.

You probably need to calibrate your screen and turn its brightness down.
Sounds like you need to calibrate your monitor. You'll probably get lots & LOTS of step by step instructions, too along with many 'buy this tool' suggestions. I prefer the Epson paper, too. Good luck
I’ve done the color calibration. I’m having difficulty with the brightness. I have tried a sample pack of Epson’s legacy papers and found one that only needed a touch of brightness adjustment. Just asking to see what others use.
For my high end prints I use Red River. One question, are you loading and using the ICC profiles for the paper in the printer software?
You also might want to calibrate the printer, not just the monitor.
In the mean time either just make a note of how much to adjust or turn down the brightness on your monitor to match the print results.
I use a Canon Pr0-100 and Canon's Print Studio Pro to control printing, it allows a test page of thumbnails at different setting (marked on print) so you can pick the one you think is best. Maybe Epson has something like that.
Calibrate the printer? Haven’t heard of that. How do you do that?

DataColor has the SpyderPrint (creates accurate icc printer/paper profiles). I presume that X-Rite and others also have similar products.

Personally, I switched to Red River Paper products almost exclusively a couple of years ago. Even with the best, most modern paper, it is absolutely necessary to have a good color managed workflow to produce decent prints. Red River Paper's site has some valuable information on how to accomplish that. While it may seem daunting at first, once you actually try, and complete, the process you will reap the rewards. You will also wonder what was so hard. Best of luck.
Thanks, I’ll check it out
