Hahaha, I have a five pound Yorkie and can attest to that. When he holds his head high his nose is only about 8-9 inches high. But it's usually only about an 1/8 inch high, sniffing every thing he can. I let him do it tho because I figure the walk is mainly for him.

An expert once explained to me why it takes some dogs a long time to complete a walk. Like some humans for whom reading books is the thing, some dogs just must read (sniff) every message on every tree, water hydrant, fence post and leave a hello. We can be thankful that their bladders are as small as they are.

I live with six dogs and I've often wondered what aliens from another planet would report back after observing how we tend and cater to our beloved pets. I can just imagine it would be something like this. "We observed the most intelligent and privileged life forms on earth which they call "dogs"". "They have servants follow behind them picking up their poop. Many are dressed and undressed by their servants as well". "They are hand-fed and groomed there is no need that goes unattended". "The servants are the lower form of life and they spend all of their time pampering and caring for the upper-class life form, the dogs". "Servants must toil away their time to earn what they call money to spend on the elite life forms, the dogs". "We should abandon all plans to take over earth to avoid becoming servants to the dogs that rule this planet". End of report, heading home to Planet-X.

One of my neighbor always walk around with is dog in his arms, the bad mouth said because is dog walk too fast for him
