Any opinions on the Benq BL2780t 27" monitor from B&H for $250 to be used with a spyder pro5 ?

I am not familiar with the Benq monitors. However, I do use a 27" monitor and LR and the size is great.

Good luck with your purchase.

It's a low cost nice sized standard HD (1920x1080), standard gamut (sRGB) display. Don't expect much from it and it won't disappoint. I generally suggest spending a little more and getting 10 bit, wide gamut support, even if it means a smaller display. Dells are great, but they won't calibrate correctly with a Spyder. You'd need an Xrite i1 Display Pro. $209 at B&H.

Thanks for your input. I am trying to stay below $350.

the Dell calibration software that works with XRite color checkers is for models: UP2414Q and UP3214Q per the Dell download page:

What about a 4k monitor, for example the Dell P2715Q 27" Ultra HD 4K Monitor for $350? A little more, but you will get much closer to 1:1 on your monitor

I have had a Dell UP3216Q monitor for 3 years and it appears to calibrate just fine with my Spider4 Elite. Am I missing something?
