Beautiful...

As Father St. Bernard (Patron Saint of Canines) once said, " There ain't no such thing as a bad dog."

Beautiful dog. I see love in that face along with reserved ferocity if ever needed to protect you

Sweet face.

When in doubt, put down the owner, not the dog.

It was the dog that bit me for taking out my trash a few months ago. Have spent my entire summer sneaking outside when the neighbor pit is inside so as not to get chased back in.

Dogs can sense immediately when a human (or another animal) is afraid of them. Being her hostage by a dog, or a person, on your own property is not acceptable to me.

Therefore, you might have taken direct action; e.g., take one or two small raw meatballs with you and befriend the little whelp by giving them to him (dogs never bite the hand that feeds them - or, only infrequently); carry a can of mace or B-B pistol with you & use 'em on the poor little guy; hire a yard boy to take the trash out; get a bigger & meaner dog; have a fence built; threaten the owners with law suit; or, as a last resort, move.

Lottsa answers... Hope this helps.
