Yes I have FF DSLRs and mirrorless cameras but I love my Canon 180 Poweshot Elph --why because when I hike and want to use the timer I can set it for 30 seconds and at my age getting to pose at 10 seconds while hiking is impossible for me --keep it up Canon we old people love that you can set the timer for 30 seconds
I have a Sony pocket camera that I bought about 3 years ago. I paid less than $150 for it. I own a Nikon DSLR crop sensor, and a Nikon Bridge camera as well. It is so convenient to go somewhere, stick the camera in your pocket and go places. Without carrying a camera bag everywhere. I prefer using it over my Smartphone. Thumbs up for you.

I have a similar camera, a Canon SD800 Elph from 2007. It still works fine, and I should use it more.

That is a good idea, thanks. However, Canon IR Remotes ane really smsll and really cheap like about $12 and not much bigger than a 50 cent coin.
For your information, Canon made another camera - a very convenient camera for people who travel:
The Canon PowerShot SX50 HS model which has a programmable selftimer up to 30 seconds.
If you are interested, you can probably still get it - imported from Japan or refurbished on our local market.
It is a very popular great camera.
