It seems like there is no longer a Lightroom to Facebook publishing service. What are people using to get around this ? I don't want to have to export and upload manually.
I recall there has been a discussion to leverage mobile Lightroom for a workflow through the smartphone photos app. Personally, creating an export preset in Lightroom to a folder such as 'Photos to Share' ... then post to PB, auto upload to Google Photos, etc. share via email - whatever.
I too export my photographs to a file on my computer, then pull from that when I post to a file to Facebook. It is only a little bit less convenient than directly from LR.
I believe if you create a collection and sync with LR CC you can still upload to Facebook. Slightly slower, but possibly more intuitive. It also lets you do Twitter and an option exists if you use Portfolio or Behance to upload to them also. I personally use this option and was not using the option for Facebook. You could also check Jeffrey Friedel's plugin. It's donationware and the only time you need to make a new donation is on a major update to LR (from cc 6 to 7). He updates, researches and keeps all of his plugins current. I formerly used this; however, I do not put enough items on Facebook to need the plugin.
I never used the LR-FB publishing service since I enter my images on different sites in FB
Yes, I can do that, but it needs you to have two copies of each photo, or to manually delete the exported version. I have used Jeffrey Friedl's plugins for several years, very convenient, but doesn't seem to work for Facebook anymore.

Get used to exporting and uploading manually. It is all a part of Facebook's most recent attempts at curbing abuses

No realizes that anything you post on FB becomes their property. Just like on google. No one ever reads the fine print. Personally I post links to my shots and sometimes use Drop box. You can never fully erase shots on FB either.
