This railway has been featured in the Harry Potter Film "Hogwarts Express) and in the TV series Heartbeat.

A trip for any railway enthusiast, especially a steam one. And with a few hours to walk around Whitby before return, a decent fish and chips meal + a mug of proper tea. Should be on every tourists to do list, home grown ones and those from further afield.
