I have been lurking without registering for a couple of months. Well James56 posted some photos of the skyline of Nashville and I just had to comment how great I liked them.
A little about me: I was into landscapes/nature but a year ago a drunk driver hit me when I was going to a sunflower field for photos. Well the last visit to the doc he finally admitted that I would never walk the trails again. But I am walking at least with a cane and more importantly still alive. But I do have to find a new field in photography. Hint, it won’t be portraits! I could take the most beautiful woman in the world and make her look like the ugliest witch that had every been!
Oh and I got off Facebook because it was taking to much time and the I found Hedgehog!!!!
Welcome, and you keep on moving forward.
Welcome to the HOG.
Yes, I agree with rgrenaderphoto, "keep moving forward".
Enjoy the forum and your photography.
Glad you recovered from a tragic accident. I'm is good health but at 72 and my legs aren't what they use to be. A suggestion for you is some still life. I do them on dinning room table and can shoot sitting down most of the time. Take a look over in the "Close Up Photography" section and see what several members are doing with flowers. During the winter months while at the grocery store we pick up some flowers. I try different ways to shoot them changing the background and also try some macro photography.
Don't let the photography get away from you there's always something around the house to see in a different light.
Welcome. Macro would be fun for you, also, I believe.
Welcome to the forum and God Bless. Keep moving!
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the Hog, WestTnGuy! I, too, have been attempting to take fields of sunflowers. So sorry about your accident! Glad you decided to give us a try!

I also walk with a cane, but not due to an accident. Just used the knees a tad too much doing Tactical Security.
Anyway, I'll chime in and suggest Macro also. In addition there are quite a few places with hard walkways and they will loan you a set of wheels to get around. I find a wealth of photo opportunities at the Homosassa Wildlife Park. There are land, water and air animals and with careful shooting you can get shots that look like in the wild.
