It’s all about Tim.

Would you consider doing a job free without compensation for travel etc.? And after paying all your expenses leaving a tip for having the opportunity to take some shots? Perhaps donate a camera and teach some classes to help someone, even give someone a better life?
I am sure most if not all would if you could and all the facts are known.
I had the honor if meeting someone that may just be the Mother Theresa of Vietnam. Perhaps the best place to learn about Tim is to google “Aline Rebeaud” and learn what is happening in a corner of Ho Chi Minh City formerly known as Saigon.

Just when you think you have seen it all and start to give up on humankind, along comes TIM.
She came to my hotel room looking for a cork puller. We sat and talked late into the morning and the most incredible story unfolded. The next day I had the distinct pleasure and honor to be her motorbike driver and photographer for the day and evening.
Is Tim a living Saint? You decide, I am convinced she is. Some day the majority of the people in the world will know about Tim and the work she is doing in Vietnam.
May I ask that you google her name, Aline Rebeaud, and learn about her and somehow I will do my best to try my hand at writing the story that captivated me.
What has this to do with photography? Everything, it is changing people’s lives, giving opportunities, and a bright future to the poorest of the poor. All that, just because she likes it.
Learn more about visiting and perhaps volunteering if you happen to be in the neighborhood in Saigon.

BTW in Vietnam TIM means heart or the one with a heart.

PS
I will see Tim this weekend when she vists Dalat and ask her if I can post her number.

Thanks for the post, Jack...inspiring story. Checked her out. God does have a plan; it is we who decide if we'll follow it. His love is in this woman. Wonder how many people she has touched. How many people saw this and started they own chain of Good Samaritan love. Have a great weekend!

2nd post about Tim
The story about Tim started about 20 years ago when she left Switerland and arrived in Saigon and found her first crippled child living in the gutters. She told me about him and asked me "what could I do but take him home"? She has taken home many since then and now has 300 that she calls her own and they call her Mum.

The main source of income for Maison-Chance comes from Vietnamese living over seas, in Europe, Australia, Switzerland, France the USA and many other counties. She appears often on a variety show called "Paris by night" hosted by a Vietnamese and watched mostly by Viets all over the world.

This evening I had once more the distinct honor and pleasure to have dinner at a Vietnamese house with Tim and some of her long time supporters from England and Switzerland.
I feel truly blessed having had the opportunity to meet Tim and her organization and become a small part of it. My wish is that I may be able to find the words, to express thru the keyboard some of this incredible story, and draw support for Maison-Change. They are not affiliated to any particular religion nor the government. It is just about Tim and her growing circle of friend’s love for the lost and disadvantaged.

Not everyone can visit Tim but it is a whole lot easier now than it used to be and certainly, the most rewarding thing anyone can do is, stop by if you’re in the neighborhood of Saigon.

I hope to be able to post many more pictures that I was so privileged to have had the opportunity to take for her and please remember that I am only a lowly amateur and it is not about F stops etc. but it is about Tim’s big big heart.
I apologize if it turns out that this is out of place in this forum. I humbly ask permission to tell and show some of this amazing love story. Therefore, I will post some more pictures very soon to combine the love for the downtrodden and photography.

There is so much I want to say about Tim and her kids with my very limited ability, both in writing skills and photography skills. I thank you for allowing me to do this.
