That looks very cold.
It was cold. Very different from what we are having now, we are in the middle of a very unusual heatwave here. Temperature records are being broken and no rain many weeks... very unusual for England.

I really like the perspective here and the single set of tire tracks on the frosted road. Of course those trees in the distance complete and cement the composition. I wonder how the photo would look if the telephone wires were not there. I know that they are a part of the landscape. Just wondering.

Thanks, Erich, removing the telephone wires didn't make much difference, in my opinion, to the overall scene so they stayed. And I do follow a "warts and all" approach to my pictures
I chuckled when I read Erich's comment about the telephone poles because I knew as soon as I glanced at the photo, someone would mention
But I also was fairly certain I recalled that you, Graham, don't do much evidence removal.
I love the clean, graphical nature of the image + the symmetry. The exception to the symmetry, the telephone poles and wires, emphasize the orderliness of the rest IMO. I find they add to the interest of the scene, especially with the pole slightly tilted.
A visual delight!
The choices of composition and technique contribute to the feeling. Fine shot!

Simple, beautiful. This photo makes me want to go down this road.
Great shot and I agree that the power/telephone lines should stay as they are a part of our every day life now.
And here you go again Graham, another superb b&w landscape. Those telegraph poles make the shot for me! You really should be published you know.

I voiced my desire for a coffee table book several years ago, but now no coffee table I've seen could take the weight of his masterpieces.
How do you find these shots, Graham? My only question is.....are those your tire tracks? If so....great planning!! The trees are wonderful, and wonderfully placed in the photograph. The road and tracks complete what the trees could not do by themselves.

You need to do a book. I'd buy it and buy a couple more for my daughters.
