I have been shooting for several years, but recently started getting serious about it. I like action nature shots, but need lots of help and suggestions. I shoot a Canon 7D with a 70-200 l F 2.8. I can not seem to get these birds out my back window consistantly in a clear focus. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have no formal photography education, only what I have read on different boards. Thanks in advance for your imput.

You're doing the right first step -- taking a lot of shots. Practice is key.
I would like to know more about how you are shooting the birds: What settings are you using? How are you focusing? Metering?
I recently sat at a friend's window with a bird feeder, camera in hand. I found the following helpful: 1) patience; 2) willingness to take not-so-great shots; 3) preset the exposure to be sure I'm getting the birds right rather than the background; 4) fast speed and relatively wide depth of field (although I could have gone wider to get more in focus); 5) sport mode - i.e., take a lot of quick shots in a row. I'll spare you the (many) shots I didn't like. But I did finally get this one. It's still not great - too dark and the focus could be better. I also cropped to bring the bird in closer. I was nonetheless pleased after a lot of time and photos.
Hope this helps. Keep sharing; it will be nice to watch as you get this!
I vary the settings of the shutter speed, ISO and apture trying to get a "sweet spot" that will give me the depth of field to allow for the bird coming onto the feeder and another that might be on the feeder already. I use Auto focus. I shot about 900 frames yesterday and got maybe 3 of 4 I liked. Thank GOD I am not having to develop these in a dark room. Here is one that I got I liked from a few days ago. This needs post processing. I am trying to get to the point where when I shooot it, it is correct and needs little or no post processing.

More light. Perhaps place white items to reflect more light on the subject. Clear foliage to allow more natural light in the area.
More light allows you to use faster shutter speed. Also pre-focus on a spot and shoot when the bird gets to the spot.

Welcome to the Hog Greg, enjoy.
Welcome to UHH Greg, glad you joined us. If you are using autofocus your camera maybe be focusing on the window throwing your birds out of focus. Trying getting out from behind the window and shooting. If your birds are moving up your ISO to assist you in shooting at a higher shutter speed, 1/1000 or higher.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Welcome.
The birds are in the dark.
Is there a way to feed them where there is more light. Also it appears that you are using a 1.4x teleconverter with this lens.
Very tough conditions for good photos of birds etc.
