Nikon D5,D500,D850 BBF AF Point Selection

I shoot a lot of wildlife and kids sports and use back button focus. For birds I like the small group AF points and prefer single point particularly when shooting in swamp or wooded areas. It is nice to be able to switch back and forth quickly, so I assigned the joystick to Group and can have the use of single point or group with a quick shift of my thumb.
It's an easy set up and I find in quite functional.

That's a good tip. I have a D500. Will have to try it out. Here's something else I found out that's useful. The video record button, to the left and behind the shutter button, can be reprogrammed to execute Mode. Mode is in the group of four buttons on the top left of the camera but it's much more convenient to have it next to the shutter button.

I've been watching your posts for quite some time and I know that you have made it your business to learn and utilize so called hidden or at least little known features along with your technical acquity. It is most enjoyable to me to learn new things and try them, especially if they enhance my particular use. Thanks for the tip!
