He actually says quite a bit and he is right, it is not about the gear it is about you and your capability, he also places emphasis on the lens over camera purchase. Did anyone notice his light modifiers in the background.

I am sure you like me are familiar with the many questions in this forum about what camera to buy or what lens to buy. Am I better off with 24 Mp than with 12? Old technology is cheap because people wants the latest and the best. Many bargain to have simply because people want to update to what they consider better cameras without understanding like the gentleman in the video clearly explained that it is you, not the camera or lens, what makes the image. Between a very good camera with a professional lens and an old camera and the same lens quality wise the images are going to be the same practically speaking.
Everything I own is old technology. I know that new cameras and lenses are not going to make me better. If I read more, understand better techniques than those I am using now and practice more my pictures will be much better than they are today.
I am happy with what I have and come to think of it a D200 could also make me very happy.
Interesting and useful video for those that still think that they are better off with the "latest and the best."

Come on guys. I've been trying to say this for years to people that have more money than skill. I've gone out with many new photographers with the best Nikon or best Canon and even the best Sony and they're photography is shit. I mean total shit. Of course I don't say that to them. I try to help most people if they seem to be okay with help. But if they start bitching about their pictures not being up to snuff because they have spent all this money and their pictures aren't as good as they think they should be I tell them to join a photo club where they see a lot of images and can learn technique.

Bottom line is that the guy in that video is saying that the equipment isn't NEARLY as important as your creativeness and/or skill in photography. Bottom LINE!

Funny, my ex girlfriend has a daughter that doesn't know shit about cameras, but she is so creative with whatever she uses that I'm stunned with her results. This is what the guy is saying. It's just like anything. It takes practice, skill, and some creative thinking to be different and get results that will get you noticed.

I disagree...He says a whole lot about learning how to use all that expensive(or cheap) gear.

You are to one I was referring to above. Has Jessica kept going with her photography? I doubt it or I'd have seen some pics on Insta.... She is just using her phone.
