A few days ago I posted pictures of this ginger plant. This new shot was taken with a different camera and lens and also processed differently. This one was shot in square format. Gingers are lush, brightly colored tropicals that thrive on heat and humidity. This particular plant is only 7 inches tall from pot to top of the blossoms. I've enjoyed working with this tiny plant and I think I like this shot better than my previous attempts.

Wonderful capture, Carol! Detail, but the shot projects warmth.

Thank you, Mike. I chose not to stack this time but went for a slightly softer look. I'm glad you like it.

I enjoyed the one from the other day, but I too, like this square format better. I also think this one pops a bit more which I like since it puts more emphasis on the color/shape of the petals themselves and less on the leaves/stems. This ginger plant must be fun to photograph with different lenses and focal distances. Thanks for for sharing. Bev

Thank you, Bev. It is fun because it is so small. I can turn it and move it around whenever and wherever I want.
