We'll take a short time-out from cars. This is "Widgeon" a 1938 Chris Craft Barrel Back cruiser, one fine-looking boat!

KT, these are really nice photos. You've got some great tonality going on here.

In reality it looks like a lovely hole in the water in which to pour incredible amounts of money.

Great capture of a beautiful piece of woodworking which in itself is a wonderful piece of artwork. This shows the owners care and love of a masterpiece. Mahalo for sharing.

I agree with rmalarz, a boat is a hole in which you pour your money into. That said, a well maintained old wooden boat has something a fiberglass boat will never have to me. Character.

Considering it's a 1938, I can't imagine how much work & money has gone into this one. But, I'm glad someone has the time and wherewithal to have done it.

They really are works of art!

Great photo's of a beautiful work of art....
When I was young we used to go to Lake George NY … A friend had one of these named the Bumble Bee. We used to feel like a million bucks cruising around the lake in it.Thanks for posting these.

Very nicely done photos of some very beautiful boats. It's almost a shame to see them being rained on! It does show that there is TLC treatment on these the way the water beads up on the surfaces. The rain does make your photos more unique. Was this some kind of "classic boat" gathering? kind of like a car show? How fun!

Yes, it was the 20th Annual Bay Harbor Vintage Car & Boat Festival. Not too many vintage boats, but what they had were really nice. I think it was the only day it rained all month.

Wow, nice shots. this is a beautiful boat. Too bad they don't make these anymore, if they did would probably cost a bunch. Keep up the post. Thanks
