Welcome to the HOG Louis.
Enjoy the forum and your photography.
Hi Louis, i am in the hospital for a while trying to keep my mind busy and also my first time on this site. I have been in photography for a while now and have learned quite a bit the last few years since i joined a local photography club.
Your pictures are great but i hope you don't mi d my sharing a few things i have learned. In your sun photo, if you would like to try an easy star burst effect you don't even need to use a filter. Put your camera on Aperature Priority or AP.. on your camera's dial and set the aperture to 11 or higher and the starburst should naturally appear.
Your lighting in the clouds is beautiful. I like how you were able to capture the colors in the rays. Great job.
In your cat photos, maybe next time try clearing away some of the background clutter, move a further distance away and zoom in unil focus dot appears on view finder screen inside camera eye piece. . Set to AP and set aperture this time to its widest opening. This should blur in background making your cat more of the focal point. Beautiful cat by the way..
Welcome to the UHH Louis, good posts, enjoy.
