I'm looking to create a (my first) web presence. I need a host and a template that will all photos, slideshow, and video clips. I ha e a domain and this is not a sales or marketing site. Any suggestions. At 73, I'm not really interested in a steep learning curve.

If you have Adobe Creative Cloud, their free portfolio app will do what you want, and will even give you an ersatz personalized URL like yournamehere.adobeportfolio.com.
For a true domain name, you have to go to Squarespace or Wix anf pay $16/month plus the cost of the domain renewal each year.

Wix comes to mind, Squarespace, there are a lot of choices.

You can do that in Photoshop if you have it, it is build-in (in Bridge that is)! It is a fully functional (customizable) website with slide show, etc., the whole yards and only takes a few minutes to set up! It has been a feature for many years!

Take a look at Homestead dot com - used them for years in early days. Under $100 a year for simpler sites, easy-to-use templates that can easily be customized, and if you already have your domain name (which I believe you were trying to type) their gripper allows you to use it. Also like that can download software or use online, or both and it will sync. Can be up & running in hours.

I used Zenfolio. It has so many templates and video tutorials to set up a website you will be happy with. I have two sites there.

If you use G2W-C42-CGY, code you can get 20% off.

Keep in mind that the host may supply the editor and templates for your site, but it isn't necessary for you to use their hosting service. But for a beginner, the all in one services are user friendly. WIX and WordPress both make creating your first site easy, but their free versions are a little limited on variety. Best way to see what you are comfortable with is to watch YouTube tutorials on each. YouTube is a great place to store your video clips too. Free, and you can embed links from there in your website, saving a lot of space on your hosted website account. Companies do this as well. Having your own YouTube channel is also a way to help promote your website, with links to your domain. It's actually easier than you would imagine. Just get comfortable searching YouTube and Google for each specific instructional that you want to learn, and don't try to learn every step all at once.
