It is extremely hot, humid and rainy-not the best weather to be out in nature with the mosquitoes. This time of year I like to find a pretty plant that can be adopted and let it pose indoors before giving it a home in the garden. I have several varieties of ginger blooming now. The plants tend to be 2 to 3 feet tall. I recently found the little ginger that is the subject of these shots. It is a dwarf variety and the entire plant is only about 8 inches tall. I hope you enjoy these different approaches to the same plant.

I think the green background is nice, but like the black better. beautiful job of shooting them and showing them off, carol.

Thank you, Sylvia. Gingers are distinctive and different plants. I really like their tropical look.

Thank you, Merry! The black backgrounds are hard to beat. I find bringing it indoors is the only way to go this time of year.

Fantastic group of photos Carol. All 3 are super, so no attempt at picking a "fave" here.

Carol, very great set and a fantastic way to avoid the heat and danger it presents.

Thank you, Greg! We’ve been having an unusually wet season in addition to the normal heat.
