Thanks, Linda. I’m enjoying exploring Topaz Studio. There’s more to the program than I realized at first.

Thank you, Angela. I’ve been uninspired lately and getting a bit creative is helping overcome my lethargy! I’m glad you like #1. It was the first time I tried the solid green background and it was very blah and flat. Adding the texture brought it to life.

You did a great job with it and now hopefully you are inspired enough to create other works of art!! All it takes is that first step!!

My two Buddha Belly seeds are getting big!!
Did you plant the beans yet?? Mine are over 6' tall!!

Very good news on the Buddha Belly plants! The parent plat is awesome-at least four feet tall and almost that wide. It now has several branches. My beans aren't up yet but that is because I was slow getting them planted-just a few days ago. I imagine they will do fine but I'll let you know.

It is extremely hot, humid and rainy-not the best weather to be out in nature with the mosquitoes. This time of year I like to find a pretty plant that can be adopted and let it pose indoors before giving it a home in the garden. I have several varieties of ginger blooming now. The plants tend to be 2 to 3 feet tall. I recently found the little ginger that is the subject of these shots. It is a dwarf variety and the entire plant is only about 8 inches tall. I hope you enjoy these different approaches to the same plant.

Carol, I have my Buddhas in small pots... I'm hoping that's ok, until they grow bigger... and how often do you water??
Your beans will do fine, especially with the heat... that's really when ours took off!!

Small pots should be fine to start. They are succulents and don’t grow an extensive root system. I water my big one whenever it feels dry on top.

I added sand in the soil, so it's been getting two drinks a day with the sprinkler. I hope mine eventually get big bellies!! lol..
