And then there is McKenna's Gold also with Gregory Peck.

What? No mention of THE BIG COUNTRY? I'm not a huge fan of Gregory Peck, but thought he did a great job with that role, as did Jean Simmons, Charlton Heston and Charles Bickford. Burl Ives got his only Oscar for his role as Rufus Hannassay, and Chuck Connors was a pretty good bad guy. I've probably watched this movie more than any other western, even more than my second-fave, High Noon.

BTW Shelty, you CAN have one of the Quigley rifles if you're willing to pay enough and wait long enough for one of a couple of different guys to make you one.
