I just got back from a week in Utah. Spent 3 days in Bryce Canyon national park, 3 days in Zion Canyon national with a day trip to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. As far as weather goes Bryce Canyon was nice. Morning lows in the 40's highs in the mid 80's. Zion was just the opposite. 101-103 in the afternoon.

The Wingate Sandstone is one of the most photogenic units in the Colorado Plateau. And in the unit at its base, the Chinle, is petrified wood and dinosaur bones!
