When I saw UT Mike, I first thought University of Texas..... Nice shirt!

Actually, the UT in my UHH handle stands for Utah, but I was born in Texas and grew up there until the Army took me away. Both of my children by my first marriage are UT grads and my grandson starts there in the fall.

I’m also a UTHSC grad. Texas is an awesome state... in NC now, however will return.

The UT in my avatar stands for Utah. However, I was born in Texas and grew up there. My two oldest are graduates of the UT at Austin and my grandson starts there in the fall.

Those beautiful feathers around their necks are also highly desirable for making Hawaiian hatbands/headbands. I learned years ago how to sew them from Aunty Mary Lou's classes at the Bishop Musum on O'ahu.

At the urging of other Hogs, I am posting these older shots. On Kauai there is a significant wild chicken population. The popular theory is that after a hurricane in the 90s, the domestic and wild populations intermixed. During my trip there in 2017, I became fascinated by the variety of chickens and began to photograph them in their natural habitat (parking lots). Here are a few shots from my old camera showing chicken highlights.

Nice set Mike.

Why are they not good eating chickens. What makes them different?

Very nice, UT - but is that the shadow of an ax in #9? Was someone planning on dinner?

Rumor has it that they are a bit on the skinny and tough side. Not having killed, cooked and eaten one, I don't have first hand information on that. :-)
