TaxiMom Loc: Central Oregon

My name is Debbi & I live in Central Oregon. I am a mom to three kids ages 20-18-16. And I have been married for 23 years to my highschool sweetheart.

I got my first DSLR camera a year ago. I love taking pictures. I am not sure I want to become a Pro photographer but I sure take a lot of pictures. I use a Nikon D5000 and have two lenses 18mm-55mm & 55mm- 200mm. My other equipment includes a tripod, and free editing software on the computer.

I signed up because I love to try out suggestions on how to take better pictures on differnt photography sites like DPS and now here.

High Desert Museum? Lava flows? Caves? Wildlife? Rivers? Fish? You have many wonderful things to photograph in central Oregon. I dont get to spend as much time as I as once did. Have fun.

TaxiMom Loc: Central Oregon

Since I got my camera I haven't gotten down south to the Lava Caves or the High Desert museum. I live up north between Culver and Madras so I get pretty views of the Cascade Mountains. I shoot at Eagles, Osprey, wild animals, domestic animals, Lake Billy Chinook, flowers and people. Last weekend I was at Walton Lake (east of Prineville).

I love to go take area drives and just snap pictures :-)! Tonight I will be at the Air Show of the Cascades - Madras Airport! I do have a wide varity of landscapes an hour in each direction which brings a whole new picture each time I go for a drive.

Hi folks I have been wanting to add some photo's but my computer at home is having fits and though most of my pictures are backed up on an external hard drive I just don't want to risk loosing them. I have lost two very important shoots to me that didn't get backed up and I am very sad over this as one I was shoot I was taking snapshots of my daughter and her friends the day before she left for Kansas for college. And the other one was of wildfires and wildlife in my area last week. I am bummed but I got my AirShow pictures saved to the external drive I just don't have anyway to edit them right now as my editing programs are screwed up too..... Grrrrrrr I did post some of my unedited Airshow pictures on facebook look up TaxiMom But I won't be adding any until I figure out whats up with my computer so for now my break is done back to work.......
