Both selmslie and travelwp are illogical with their totally naive presentations of sophistry..

I find it fascinating that of the many hundreds of comments on here and elsewhere where Apaflo's truck photo was show, when asked several times, Apaflo couldn't name two people that agreed with him that it was Street Photography.

... That's exactly the same and the one and only link I provided that credits Atget. I guess you just skimmed my post and the article. ...

Actually I read it which you clearly did not!

Here's another good link because it mentions Atget and Cartier-Bresson literally in the same sentence and says,

"Photographers from the past who pioneered the genre include, of course, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Eugene Atget, who is regared as the father of the genre."

I am interested in "Street Photography", although I feel I need advice from more EXPERIENCED "Street Photographers", especially the "DO's & Don'ts", and also a would a DSLR or P&S be more advisable.
I presently have a Nikon AFS-C DX D3300 with a 35mm, 50mm, 18-55, 55-200 lens.
I have read other Posts here at UHH, just would appreciate some "FRESH" insight and Advice on "Street Photography".

The best camera to use for any photography is the one you own and using it will only improve your ability.

You sure like to make things up

The only person who is making things up is yourself.

Calling a landscape photo with a truck in it street photography is like calling this shot BIF. In fact, this photo, by your own definition should be labeled street photography.

There you go again with more fabrication that you falsely attribute to someone else.

A butterfly flying over a county road is not considered street photography?
