Yes. To my knowledge there is only one Dynastes on E. coast. The color difference was thought to be dymorphism. Turns out it is oil???. It will disappear if washed in a solvent and soap, but returns in a while, sometimes only on one elytra(other specimens). Go figure??? Bill
