Hello UHH members, I joined the UHH in January of this year and have thoroughly enjoyed reading the forum on a daily basis. I am impressed and amazed at the wealth of knowledge freely given by all of you to advance the hobby and enjoyment of everyone involved. While I am not new to digital photography since purchasing my Nikon D50 in 2005, I have taken all my photos on AUTO for the past 12 years!! Your forum has encouraged me to upgrade my camera, get off AUTO, and join a camera club. My goal for 2018 is to learn as much as I can about my D3400, exposure, composition and a long list of other topics (including reading the manual). So far I am practicing shooting off AUTO and am shooting fireworks on July 4th on bulb setting with a wireless remote. So you can call me an old newbie who has a lot to learn and catch up!! Thanks to all and am looking forward to a long happy photo relationship with all of you.

Have you been to YM Camera (755 Boardman-Canfield Road)? Good selection with nice, knowledgeable folks running it - beware, however - they are very good salesmen! I went up to buy a Tamron 18-400 lens and came away with both it AND a new D7500 (long story!)!!!

Welcome aboard.
I have found it advantageous to bring the instructions for posting up on my smarter than me phone while I do the actual posting on my computer.

I guess we can just blame the camera salesperson—he/she made me buy it!! LOL. Yes, it’s a great shop and great people working there.
