I am looking to buy an L Plate Bracket. But there is none that's specifically made for my camera (Canon T2i). Anyone uses and is happy with a "universal" L Plate Bracket? Recommendations?

TIA.

I am using a 3 legged Thing Bracket on my Nikon. It works fine. The same bracket is listed for Canon, Fuji and Sony.

I use a couple of generic and one camera specific L plate. The generic ones work ok, but fit and finish on my RRS D810 plate is unquestionably better. Biggest issues are the screw is usually too long and made of softer material, so you need to use a washer and be careful about overtightening (for fear of stripping), the fit is hit or miss, and it is usually a bit sloppy, and you need to be careful to select one that has a good non-slip pad to keep the camera from spinning on the plate. Also, they are made of two pieces that are bolted together - in theory, this can loosen over time. I keep Loctite in my camera bag for just such occasions, though in all honesty I haven't needed to use it with my generic plates. The custom (and more expensive) plates are specifically machined to contact the bottom of the camera at multiple points - so there is no rubbing, spinning or sloppy fit. You'll pay $140 for an RRS plate, and $20 (or less) for a Desmond or Benro plate.

But IMO, you will also need one of these - https://www.ebay.com/itm/QR-50-Quick-Release-Clamp-Plate-For-Arca-SWISS-Manfrotto-Gitzo-Transition-Socket/332501203508?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l9372

and one of these -https://www.ebay.com/itm/100MM-Lens-Plate-Quick-Release-Arca-Swiss-Compat-for-Canon-Nikon-Sigma-tele-Lens/221259789420?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l9372

in order to be able to adjust for the front to back BALANCE on your head - especially when using larger lenses without tripod collar.

I believe the T2i is sold as the 550D in Europe. RRS sells the 550D L bracket. Call them to verify it would work on the T2i

Lots of vendors, RRS and KES, machine "L" brackets for specific camera bodies, which is why they cost more.

The 3-Legged thing universal at $49 is pretty cool; there's a threaded socket on both "arms" for a Black Rapid style strap anchor (among other things). I have mine on the side of the camera, which lets me carry it securely and attach quickly to a ball head bracket.

I had a Manfrotto universal L-bracket once. It was really awkward to use. I ended up returning it. I'm using Kirk L-brackets now.The Kirk bracket for the Canon55D has been discontinued. It might still be available somewhere.

Check sunwayfoto from B&H. Just received one for a D850 and quality seems pretty good.

I have a SunwayFoto camera specific L bracket for my 5D Mk 4 and for my Sony A6000. They don't list a specific bracket for your camera, but they make universal L brackets in various sizes so you should be able to find something that would work. I have had several different SunwayFoto products including a ball head, and their stuff is good.

I had a universal on my 70D and the only complaint I had was that it could swivel if it wasn't really tight. I needed some type of nonslip material between the bracket and the camera base.

Absolutely there are. Look on B&H or Adorama and wonder at the plethora of L brackets.

There is a Kirk for the t2i on ebay now for $69. Every Sunway or other 2nd tier L bracket I bought I’ve returned, they just dont stay tight which defeats the purpose. The Kirk and RRS are the best, and a used one like this isnt much more than the Sunway.
