getting photoshop elements to work with canon TS9020

Hi, Hedgehogs
You were very helpful to me when I was trying to decide what inkjet printer to choose. I went with the TS9020; got it a few days ago and am very pleased with it. However, "plug and play" is an urban myth, so now I'm asking another question. When printing from Windows, I figured out that it would choose the printer tray based on the kind of paper you tell it you're printing on - plain paper in the cassette, photo paper in the rear feed. So far, Elements 11 always automatically chooses the cassette, regardless of the paper I choose, though it does give me a yellow "attention" triangle and lets me know I shouldn't be using photo paper in the cassette (I'm not, it's in the rear feed tray). Neither Windows nor Elements actually shows a choice of trays, the options are only automatic...any ideas for me?

Thanks,

Lisa

I had problems printing from Paint Shop Pro 2018; the print would not center. Printing from X9, the result was excellent; centered with excellent color. To short term solve the problem, I do my edit... save... open in X9 and print from there. I realize this does not solve your or my problem, but it is a workaround. Sounds like a political thing... who has jurisdiction on deciding the printing, Canon Drivers or the Edit Program.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing, and it's a relatively minor inconvenience. Whenever I can't get a computer to do what I want I assume it's operator error, but sometimes it turns out that it's not about me after all....Thanks for your reply!

I have a situation with a Canon Pro 100 printer, a Xerox color laser printer and PSE 14 that I posted here about 10 days ago. Although I got about 250 views I only got two responses which weren't that helpful. Sometimes you can't expect too much from UHHers but they try.
