Is anyone interested in mushrooms? Do you have any pictures? I believe they would be welcome. Bill

I wouldn't be surprised if there were some interest - lots of nature photographers here. I'd like to see some myself, although I don't have much to contribute, as mine are always in a bowl on the counter...
What song does the French National Mycology Team sing after a victory at the Mycology Olympics?

I have some from many years ago, although not in digital form. Phallus impudicus anyone?
Andy, I believe they are the"Fifth Season", from the fact so many people harvest them for extra income. An avocation for thirty years or so.

Yes, and sometimes known as the 'stink horn'. An olfactory experience one doesn't easily forget.

VERY nice. What I had in mind. Thank you
Bill, so glad you brought this subject up. I personally don’t like mushrooms, but the pictures and particularly the captions posted by Hal81 in your thread really made my day.
Inky caps, Coprinus attramentarius, the alcohol inky for it's antabuse qualities

I believe: 1,2,3,5,6 are Amanita muscaria, various. Formosa, Theyellow fly mushroom. #7 may be Amanita virosa,or one of it's lookalikes, Destroying angels. All deadly.#9 is Fomitopsis pinicola, the Red belt.#10 is a spinney tooth, maybe Spongipellis pachydon. Pa.is a great state for mushrooms.Even has a "Mushroom" capital, Kenneth Square. Been there for the museum. Thanks for your post.
