B&H Sandisk Extreme CF card Limited Lifetime Warranty??

Last night I had a card go bad on me (first one after many years) and looking at purchasing a new one I see the Limited Lifetime Warranty advertised at B&H, where I purchased that and 3 other cards, but no description is forth coming. Anyone know just what this means?

The card, Sandisk Extreme 32GB UDMA7, is a couple years old and after shooting for about an hour the camera controls started being non responsive. After 2 reboots the camera showed zero signs of life. Removed the grip, tried different battery and even went so far as to smack the thing around all with no happy results. I tried to get the photos off the card and it wont even register as a drive, internally or through an external card reader. That's when I started thinking the camera might be fine and tried a different card in the camera and it works just fine. <whew> and my internal and external card readers do just fine as well <double whew> So now I sit with a dead card. On the bright side, all the photos were for our clubs outing and have no serious personal value. I can always re-shoot the challenge of the night.

That is the manufacturer's warranty. It will not apply to cases of card abuse/misuse. Smacking the thing around may count as abuse.

You can send it a request for warranty replacement. They will ask for the details on the card - (when and where purchased, etc) and a picture of the card. You can expect a replacement in a few days. They replaced two of their cards that literally disintegrated at the card's connector. No problems at all.

Since the card's no good anyway, I would send it to SanDisk and ask for a replacement.
