Great point of view and composition on all three. In the first shot, aiming higher would've captured the peak of the arch and reduced the foreground floor. The colors are wonderful. The second shot is evocative, but maybe just a bit tighter on the shot...closer to the wall in the foreground. The waterfall shot is sublime. I'm pretty new to the forum too. Hi. :-)

Thank you for your kind remarks. I am still learning to pay attention to the edges and corners as I click the shutter. I noticed the top of the arc clipped after the fact :)

Second two shots great but the first one was not fully explored to it,s best compositional possibilbilites. I hope you did more on the first one. Too much floor and the arch is pushed to the top of photo and the passage way is lost for impact.

I have some from a trip to Spain I wish I had spent more time composing! I really like the waterfall!

Nice work, just a little bit more attention to composition (top of the arch clipped, tighter on the second shot) and you'll be there. That second shot could still be cropped.

The waterfall shot has some clipped highlights (loss of detail in bright areas), which is hard not to do when you go for the silky water effect. Next time spot meter off of the brightest part of the image and lock exposure, then recompose and shoot. You can bring up the darker areas later in PP without blowing the highlights.

I find checking all four edges of the photo right before I click helps me immensely, but I still have trouble getting my verticals straight in portrait mode, but that is what PP is for ;-).

Post more soon, you have a good eye.

Eric
