I finally made my much anticipated photo shoot with a group of 7 other photographers to the LA Zoo. I haven't been there since well before I left LA in the late sixties, so it was quite the treat. I was able to capture some wonderful images of the phenomenal animals they have there. But I was AMAZED at how they have been training the Gorillas since I left LA almost 40 years ago. Who knew the Gorillas now know how to text?
But seriously, I did have a chance to capture some wonderful images, so I'm sharing them here as well.
Can you believe it, a texting gorilla!

Having visited the Tampa Zoo several times I view your shots thinking how difficult it is to such as yours. Bet these are the select of many shots.
White birds are difficult to get details with out burning.. you did well.
Texting ape... OH!! FOX news is the recipient.... Indeed this is a one in a million shot.

Your photos show how zoos are great photo opportunities.
Excellent quality throughout this series. Sharp, clear captures and nice compositions. Great subjects also!
