More than one! I graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Tech) now Carnegie Mellon University. We called the University of Pittsburgh
"The Height of Ignorance" (it was in a 30+ story skyscraper and we were terminally arrogant).

I think there's more than one. The two biggest Universities within the City limits are... University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and smaller ones too numerous to mention.

You've got a lot of great suggestions for your trip, have a safe one. I've included a couple photo's of the vehicle for the Ducky Tours. The tour starts at the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square.

My wife and I are headed north in 2 weeks to Pittsburg. As first time visitors, we plan to catch a Pirate ballgame and go to the Pittsburg Zoo. I would like some other photo-op suggestions for the city (i.e. picturesque neighborhoods, downtown sites, etc.). Please give me some suggestions, it will be greatly appreciated.

take a ride on one of the inclines, ride the river boat down the river, visit Phipps Conservatory in Oakland, just a few ideas. (Pittsburgh PA? Its Pittsburgh though. I grew up there and now live about 55 miles east of there. But always consider myself a Pittsburgher. i am also a big Pittsburgh Pirate fan, but they are not doing good, I had hopes for them, but they dont seem to be able to hit the ball or pitch.

Pittsburg is also in the Bay Area, just over the hill to the east of Walnut Creek, about 40 miles east of San Francisco (where there is a really nice ballpark).

There is no Zoo there are no Pirates. If you wan't to see them you have to travel east for about 2800 miles and go to Pittsburgh. Hope you will have fun.

Oakland is a section of Pittsburgh. Which brings up another place to visit and experience the Big O for a hot dog! http://www.theoriginalhotdogshop.com/

Sadly, one place I can't recommend is the Carnegie Museum in Oakland. It used to be an old-fashioned, quirky place filled with personality that I loved to visit as a child and young adult. Since its recent renovation it is now merely a generic institution pushing a politically correct agenda of climate change and evolution. I was there with family a few years ago and was horribly disappointed in what it has become.
