For many years I have had a preference for camera backpacks vs other types of bags when taking trips and doing sightseeing or hikes. I recently came across the Peak Design Sling 10L and am intrigued. I like the flexibility and of the bag. Does anyone out there own one? If so, could you please provide feedback on how you like it? Thank you.
I do! Just bought it. I have a 4/3s system and it’s perfect for camera w/ 14-150 attached , my super zoom lens and 25mm lens, memory cards, batteries, filters, money, cell phone and tablet if I so choose. It would also have room for a remote release and the charger in the front pocket. I have its smaller cousin too, the 5L, for a day trip where I know what I’ll be shooting.
There is no place for a water bottle on this bag so I just purchased the Mindshift Photcross 10.
I aslo checked out the ThinkTank PhotoStyle 10. Agian no water bottle. That was a deal breaker for me.
Plenty of room for water if use a Photography vest

Fran,
I had an internal water bladder in my backpack break and leak all over my clothes, thank goodness, and only over the outside of my fanny pack below my backpack, I'm not so sure I want ANY water container internal with my camera gear. They DO NOT MIX WELL. Get a clip and clip the water bottle to the OUTSIDE of the bag near the bottom. That way your camera will be safe and you can still stay hydrated.

The bag I bought has a place for a water bottle outside the case. I would never put water in the case
