Usually the Crescent passes through the Golden Corner of South Carolina under cover of darkness, but on this day it was running 3+ hours late, and judging by his speed, trying to make up the time.

I rode the Crescent in 1989 from Atlanta to NYC a couple of times. Nice train then and now.
