Canon T2I, 40 mm, 2.8 pancake, 79 mm of tubes, auto iso and white balance. Hand holding. And I know I MUST start using a tripod. What else? Thanks in advance. English penny, Canadian dollar.

I don't use a tripod in the field but I do use one (or a bean bag) with table top macro on non moving subjects like yours here. I also use the 5 second timer or a trigger release.

The old English pennies were enormous compared to present day coins, no wonder they wore holes in trouser pockets.

Had you in mind when I used the penny. Thanks for comment. I will post what I will use in tabletop work. This is like a JRR Tolkien story, it grows with the telling.

Nice! I have been looking at that 40mm pancake for a while. You will also want a diffuser and an external flash if you don't have one already.
