Thank you. Peonies are quite lovely, aren't they?

I was beginning to think it would never happen. But finally yesterday my tree peony bloomed. Went from small bud in the morning to glorious bloom in the afternoon.

Nice job. I always have trouble with that color.

I love this colour too. It really glows in the sunlight. I took the shot early in the day before the light was too intense. It's 8:00 am right now and I'm looking out the window. The blooms look glorious. The next peonies to bloom are white so I'll shoot those in the next few days. I have more trouble with white.

What works for me is to increase my exposure for white. Sometimes, I push way to the right on the histogram (but just before clipping occurs) and bring it back down in pp. I’m no expert, but give it a try. Others will chime in about this approach.

Thanks. I've been reading about overexposing for white as related to shooting brides in white dresses. I have to practice a bit this summer.
