That is interesting. I hope the critter cars were behind the passenger coaches.

Interesting livestock car.
I wonder how they load/unload the animals.
For me, that is a different looking locomotive.

The stock car was in front of the passenger coach. From memory you could smell it.
The loco is an alco 44 class with driving cabs at both ends.\
The stockyards are designed to handle the double decker sheep wagons.

Meant to ask earlier. The fellow on the track seems to be dressed like a sheep handler, based on some photos I've seen a long time ago. Would you know if that's what he did? The slickers doesn't seem to be, to me, related to the railroad. I may be in error.

That's a Driza-Bone (dry as a bone) he is wearing. He is probably a local stockman.
