Actually the fast train to Birmingham but I just caught the tail end and I thought my title suited it better. I'm sure the afficionado's will blow up to max., spot that the train is on the down line and might claim to spot a red light in the brilliant sunshine etc. If it wasn't so quite I'd got it quicker.
For those familiar with the U.K., this was shot from the Dashwood Mausoleum, West Wycombe Hill.

82309 is a DVT (Driving Van Trailer). As I understand it this is a non powered unit that enables the driver to swap ends and control the power unit (which looks similar but has a power unit) from the 'front' without having to move the locomotive from end to end. Top speed is around 110mph.
I'm not a railway nerd, but I do like viewing them from time to time. No doubt the serious spotters will have noticed that already.
Well worth while downloading.

A few seconds later, the title would have been, "The one that got away".
A good grab. Whether it is coming or going.
