Classy Train Stations

As I'm sure you're all aware, train stations used to be very classy places.
Even though Brighton, Ontario was just a village, the train station
was lit by this beautiful chandelier.

Probably, had high ceilings.

Oh yes, the ceiling was at least 12 feet high, maybe more.

Some of them were designed to be lowered by chain from ceiling for refill and adjustments. Then later retro-fitted for use with gas.

There are two rods coming down parallel right back of center rod. Not sure what they may be. Smaller rod to adjust flow of gas, maybe?
