Train in Limbo

This steam locomotive was built in Montreal, Canada, in 1906.
It is currently located at a railway museum called "Memory Junction"
in Brighton, Ontario, Canada.
Unfortunately, the museum has run into financial difficulties
and is now up for sale. The museum was the endeavour of one man
who is now in his 90's.

Interesting images!

Image 1. Right behind the smokestack and on top of the boiler, I see a couple of valves and a hose that appears to go down below the cab.
Never seen that before.
Behind the steam dome, looks like the whistle has a vertical cover/baffle. Maybe for reduce to sound in the cab. Never seen that before.

Image 2. Do you have another image that shows more of the linkage to the left of the wheels.
I can see this is not a Walschaerts valve gearing. Just wondering what it is.

I'm guessing this unit has been sitting still out in the weather for over 50 years.
Hope someone will take it. At least clean it up and a coat of paint.

Thanks, Pat

Pat- I'll check my other photos to see what I have of this train.

Locomotive 2534 was on display at a park in Belleville, Ontario for many years.
Children were able to climb around on and in it.
When it was realized that it had some asbestos insulation in it, it was moved
out of the park and taken to the museum.

Sadly, many such endeavors do not last past second generation. Hopefully someone can set up a Fund-me on the internet to help town to acquire the museum.

I see that its bell is missing. Being held in museum?
